I tripped and a few solid little easter eggs hit my mouth this week. Honest! Have made some poor choices food wise this week. Yesterday I didn't eat lunch. I ate 2 ANZAC bikkies instead :/
I rocked it out at the gym yesterday though, and Sunday was a great exercise day, so I'm hoping that evened out the numbers on the scale!
Another 1kg loss this week. Loving this program, loving my enthusiasm and loving life! Exactly 10kg until my first goal weight!
Stats for this week's weigh in:
Starting Weight (1 Jan): 106.8 kg
Last week's weight: 86.0 kg
This week's Weight: 85.0 kg
Weight lost this week: 1.0 kg
Weight lost during 12WBT: 13.8 kg
Weight lost overall: 21.8 kg
All about my journey to finding the carefree, vibrant, unashamed, unselfconscious me! From a couch potato to a...??? We'll see!

Lots of Milestones this week!
I've had such a great week on the scales. But not only that, I've managed to blitz through some of my goals that I had for Week 12 of the 12WBT.
This week I have:
**Lost over 10kgs
**Lost over 10% of my body weight
**Lose the OBESE BMI rating. (BMI of 29.9 or less)
**Ran 3.91kms without stopping.
**Into the 80s!
Commitment is the post where I wrote some of my goals for the 12wbt. Hmmm... Looks like I'll need to give that another go. Achieved!
On the 12WBT we set goals for 1 month, 3 month, 6 month and 12 month. Last month I needed to revise my 1month goals. I set them as:
By April 11th I WILL be down another 4kg. This means I will be 88.3kg or less. I WILL be in the 'overweight' section of the BMI. Goodbye obesity!
I'm VERY pleased to be almost there... I weighed in today at 88.5kg. WOW. So close! With still 2 weeks until 11th April!
Stats for this week's weigh in:
Starting Weight (1 Jan): 106.8 kg
Last week's weight: 90.6 kg
This week's Weight: 88.5 kg
Weight lost this week: 2.1 kg
Weight lost during 12WBT: 10.3 kg
Weight lost overall: 18.3 kg

Yesterday...
Meant to get back on here last night, but yesterday was a bit of a fizzer. What a shocker of a day. I snacked ALL day. Didn't have breakfast and then left the house for playgroup in the morning. Had a banana while I was there and that seemed to satisfy. Got home about 11am starving. But fed the kids and put them to bed.
Now, because my mother in law has left, I knew I needed to fit in my workout while the kids were asleep because there was no way it was happening after the kids were in bed at night. Its far too dark! So instead of eating breakfast (can it be classed as breakfast despite the time being 12pm??) I went and did my workout on the deck. Toning day.
I was knackered... and past the point of being hungry. So for lunch I ate bread and butter. Terrible. Zero nutrition and it wasn;t that satisfying. I think that 'lunch' triggered my hunger and I wanted to snack all day. I didn't. Willpower is an amazing thing. But all I could think about was eating the whole.damn.pantry!
So today I've had muesli for breaky and feel better already.
Anyways - the details you're really here for? Scales and figures.
We're halfway through the 12wbt... Can't believe it's halfway gone!
Stats for this week's weigh in:
Starting Weight (1 Jan): 106.8 kg
Last week's weight: 91.8 kg
This week's Weight: 90.6 kg
Weight lost this week: 1.2 kg
Weight lost during 12WBT: 8.2 kg
Weight lost overall: 16.2 kg
So I was worried for no reason :-) Awesome!

15kgs, BABY!
Since I signed up for 12wbt and made the decision to do something for me, to lose the extra weight I have lost 15kg EXACTLY. So great! That's more than what my little girl weighs! I've got another 1.5kg to lose until I've lost more than my almost three year old weighs. Blows my mind.
So as you can probably tell, I've lost another good number this week. 1.6kg. Soooo good. So exciting! Considering that I had two rest days last week AND didnt do my usual SSS, I'm amazed. And then I'm kicking myself - imagine what the weight loss could have been if I had've stuck to the programme. Hehehe. Oh well. This is a new week and I have already started the exercising off well.
Having my mother in law visiting means that she can look after the kids whilst I can get out for my run. So every morning she walks up to the house jsut before 8 and I'm out the door by 8.15am. So nice to exercise in the morning! Makes me feel fabulous all day! (Especially nice at 6.30pm when I know I don't have to go out for a run!)
The week 5/6 exercise programme is really kicking my butt. I am seriously having to JFDI every day. It's TOUGH! This morning I ran down the hill (6mins) and then did my interval run (3min run, 2 min p/walk) for 25 mins. I was knackered. The very last run I pulled up about 15secs short. I should have completed it. I just let the 'you're tired' excuse creep in. After that we needed to sprint 30sec/walk 30 sec for 5mins. Holy crap??? SPRINT?? Are you effing kidding me? I could barely jog! But fast run I did, until my lungs were heaving and my legs were wobbly.
Then up the hill I went. (Meant to be a 10-15min powerwalk, but I think my hill is waaaaaay better than a powerwalk!) Still killing me. Managed to walk up without stopping today, which is more than I could do on Monday. After that we were supposed to sprint for 400m. Ok. No way. I have no flat ground up near the house so my head (and my body!) refused to complete that one. Oh well. There's always Monday next week. I did my stretches and then that was it. 900 cals. WHAAA? Wow! 1hr 18m 900cals. Marnie, you are effing AWESOME!
Stats for this week's weigh in:
Starting Weight (1 Jan): 106.8 kg
Last week's weight: 93.4 kg
This week's Weight: 91.8 kg
Weight lost this week: 1.6 kg
Weight lost during 12WBT: 7.1 kg
Weight lost overall: 15.0 kg !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This program is working...
I think I just needed the push to get myself moving. I needed an inspiration. I saw photos on Facebook of a friend from my uni days who had lost 15+kgs with 12wbt. I joined up the next week. Didn't tell my husband or family about it until the day before I started my health kick - 1 Jan 2012. I don't know whether I was ashamed or what, but I needed the impetus and that was it. I wonder whether my friend will ever know what a huge change she has helped me to make in my life.
So the details... This week I have hit many goals. I have lost 10% of my body weight. I have lost over 10kg of weight and I've dropped a dress size. So happy. SO HAPPY! I look better and I often catch a glimpse of myself in a mirror or window and can see a huge difference. Hub says he can see some changes, but mainly in my boobs :/ I've gone from a breastfeeding, couch potato 18E to a non-breastfeeding, eating healthier, exercising 16C. Huge change. I'll take a pic of me in the same beach outfit and see if you can tell.
So today is WEDNESDAY!!! I love Wednesdays. (Well I do while I'm doing so well!)
Stats for this weigh in day:
Starting Weight (1 Jan): 106.8 kg
Last week's weight: 97.2 kg
This week's Weight: 95.3 kg
Weight lost this week: 1.9 kg
Weight lost during 12WBT: 3.5 kg
Weight lost overall: 11.5 kg
I am so AWESOME! (I'm so proud of myself - can you tell?)

It rolls around again!
I look forward to and dread this day all at once. Every day this week(every week) I jump on the scales to see how the weight loss progress is going. And it's been a sad week. I've been anywhere from -.5kg to +2kg! OMG...
So I was dreading today... But bravely I stood up on those bodgy dodgy scales and saw 96.5kg. Awesome! Over 1kg gone forever! Yippee!
My newbie 12wbt FB group has started a challenge to see if collectively we can burn 250,000 calories before the end of Feb. We're 3 days in and we've burned over 40,000 already! How amazing are we??? We also have a competition to see who can burn 10,000 cals on their own first! I am nowhere near going to win that, but it is totally amazing to be thinking of writing my awesome (+500) cal burn every night on to our little spreadsheet.
I love our (not so little) group of women (and men) on that website. Everyone is so supportive and I'm not afraid of showing my weaknesses. I hope that others are comfortable to do the same. I know when things start going downhill for me, that the communication slacks off a bit - FB, blogs, home, whatever. So if I go missing - just nudge me here and I'll try and own up to my progress (or lack of!)
I have well and truly smashed my goal of 100kg by the time pre-season is over and Round 1 kicks off on Monday. I am now 96.5kg and have lost 8.5kg in 5.5 weeks.
I AM AWESOME!
Stats for this weigh in day:
Starting Weight (1 Jan): 105 kg
Last week's weight: 97.7 kg
This week's Weight: 96.5 kg
Weight lost this week: 1.2 kg
Weight lost overall: 8.5 kg

Hmmm... the excuses need to be updated.
I found a new excuse last night:
I can't do my exercise because I'm staying at my parents' place. I totally should be able to leave the kids here and go for a walk/run! Silly me. Did nothing! Ate really well, but did nothing :(
When I head home today, I WILL do the Michelle Bridges DVD and I WILL go for my walk tonight. I'll check in tonight to tell you how I've done!
And today is Wee & Weigh Wednesday. My parents' Wii is telling me I'm 96.6. But I dont have a lot of faith in that thing. I have been weighing at home and was only expecting 1kg loss this week. If I'm really 96.6, that would be 1.9kg off. I'd be ecstatic if this was the case, but I will weigh in tomorrow and let you all know!
Have a good day everyone!
